Ropley is a small village in Hampshire, England, about halfway between Winchester and Alton. It is nestled in the heart of 'Jane Austen country' - a beautiful rural setting.
The society was established in 1948 and has been entertaining the local community with two productions a year (in March and November) since then. This site contains information about past and forthcoming productions, news, reviews and pictures as well as details of how to join the society and book tickets for our shows.
Previous notable members of Ropley Dramatic Society include Colin Firth (of 'Pride & Prejudice' and 'Bridget Jones' fame) and Christopher Geere (recently seen in the Coke Zero ad. and on stage in the West End and Stratford with Dame Judi Dench).
